Wang On Group Limited ("Wang On Group") is principally engaged in property development and property investment, the management and sub-licensing of wet markets, shopping centres and car parks.

The Group was founded by Mr Tang Ching Ho and Ms Tang Yau Yuk Yin in 1987 and commenced business as a contractor for building related construction services and interior decoration services for individual residential units in the Private Sector Participation Scheme (PSPS). In 1991, the Group extended its business to the field of project management for shopping centres.

In 1995, Wang On Group was listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, reaching a milestone in its business development. In late 1996, the Group further diversified its business into the sub-licensing of Chinese wet markets and shopping centres, and the management of car parks and properties. The Group is also involved in property development and property investments.

In recent years, the Group successfully diversified into the lucrative pharmaceutical business to enlarge its earnings base further. Within a few years, the Group has made positive investments in two household brand names for pharmaceutical products, namely Wai Yuen Tong and Madame Pearl's.

Following its strategic investments in Wai Yuen Tong Medicine Co. Ltd., Luxembourg Medicine Co. Ltd. and Hunan Xiangya Pharmaceutical Company Limited, Wang On Group acquired, in August 2001, interests in Dailywin Group Limited ("Dailywin") with the aim of having a separate listed company hold its pharmaceutical business. Dailywin was later renamed as Wai Yuen Tong Medicine Holdings Limited, following the injection of Wai Yuen Tong into Dailywin's operations in July 2002.

Wai Yuen Tong Holdings is currently an associate of the Wang On Group and is involved in the production and sale of traditional Chinese medicines, herbs and other health food products under the brand name "Wai Yuen Tong" and western pharmaceutical products under the brand name "Madame Pearl's".
